One of the first steps in pursuing a volunteer opportunity is to complete a Volunteer Application Form (VAF) and submit it to your local parish.

The volunteer screening application process is mandatory for all volunteers and may include additional screening steps, including interviews, reference checks, criminal record checks, and training and orientation, depending on the type of ministry role you are applying for. Your parish Volunteer Screening Coordinator will facilitate your screening steps to ensure that you are ready for ministry.
